  • At StrongHearts we follow one simple rule – Treat others the way we would like to be treated.

    Here’s info on how our memberships work:

    Membership Terms:

    StrongHearts offers a really simple membership structure to keep things easy and ensure that you are all getting the most value out of your membership. We offer unlimited and 2 times per week memberships.  All of our memberships are available on a month to month basis, with no contracts or confusing stipulations.  Your month will start on the day you join, so there will be no confusing “Prorated” charges etc. If you sign up on the 5th of the month for example, your membership will renew on the 5th of each month.

    Our memberships are billed monthly, NOT every 4 weeks or bi-weekly – those are just tricky ways to get an extra months payment out of you each year. (for example $100/4 weeks = 1300/year or $108. 33/month not $100/month).  Our memberships automatically renew on a month to month basis at the end of each month for as long as you’d like to remain a member.

    Holds:

    We don’t want you to lose out on time and coaching at StrongHearts School of Movement – so we’ve set up our memberships to allow you to go on hold easily and as often as you need to. All you need to do is email us a start and end date for the time you won’t be able to get in and we’ll place you on hold – No questions asked, no doctors notes required, no extra fees. We do need you to email us BEFORE not after the hold you want, and we do need both a start and end date. Please understand that it may take up to 24 hours to process your hold so please let us know a day or 2 before you need it if possible. We will email you back with confirmation that you are on hold once it is in place, and you can also check online on our student portal.

    When you go on hold your billing dates get extended by the amount of time you were on hold.  For example if your membership went from the 1st till the 1st, but you went on hold for 1 week, your next bill would be on the 7th. Your membership will restart automatically on the date you requested. if you want to extend your hold, or shorten it and come back sooner, all you need to do is email us.

    Upgrading your membership:

    We understand that things change; work or school can get crazy, or you can set new fitness and life goals that demand more training time. We make it easy to change your membership to suit your schedule. All you have to do to adjust your membership is talk to one of the coaches and fill out a new membership form. Your original billing dates will apply, you don’t have to start again just to change how often you come out.

    Cancellations:

    We try to be as flexible as possible with our memberships. Unlike most in the fitness industry we are not in the business of selling tons of memberships and hoping no one ever shows up. We also don’t charge “Initiation”, “Start-Up”, “Gym Improvement”, “Hold”, or “Cancellation” fees.  You can cancel your membership at any time, and it will be stopped on your next billing period. 

    We ask that you send us an email to cancel – it’s easy and conveniently traceable and date stamped =) We also ask that you give us some notice if you want to cancel – 10 business days at minimum before your next billing period to be precise. We will do our best for payments occurring sooner than that but we we can’t guarantee we’ll be able to catch them in time. Don’t worry, you are never locked in at StrongHearts.

    Billing:

    Your bill date is the date you signed up (ie if you signed up on the 15th of the month you bills will be on the 15th of each month thereafter). You might see these payments out of your account a few days later if the bill date happens to fall on a weekend or holiday, but if you expect it on the bill date you’ll always be safe. We ask for a void check or a per-authorized debit form to simplify the monthly billing for you account. If a payment happens to come back NSF there is a $25 charge as that is what our bank charges us.

  • We understand that people are busy busy busy. We want to treat our members the way we would like to be treated.  Our memberships allow you to attend whichever classes and class times interest you.  You can come on Monday and Wednesday afternoon one week, and Tuesday and Thursday morning the next.  You can take CrossFit classes, KettleBell Classes, Boxing, MovNat, Yoga, or Olympic weightlifting.  If there is a class that you’re interested in you can try it out!

     

  • We’re proud of you for even asking.  Nutrition can spur you on to the heights of greatness or can be your Achilles heel. StrongHearts School of Movment offers nutritional counseling for free to our members.  Any health and fitness program worth their weight should do the same.

    We provide comprehensive nutritional guidance for all our members.  As much as we would love it, the gym alone won’t get you to your extraordinary – The old adage “You can’t out train bad nutrition” is very true.  So we’ll help you get the most out of your training by getting the most out of your eating.  Whether your goal is weight loss, weight gain, or anything in between we can help you adjust your nutrition to help you reach your goal, quickly and safely.  We provide meal plans, shopping lists, and recipe books  free of charge with our bronze and higher memberships.

  • We teach people how to move more efficiently, more effectively, and with more fun.  This means we address past injuries, muscle imbalances and dysfunctional movement patterns; we improve strength and conditioning, and prepare your body to face any challenges you may choose to partake in.

  • Well, really everyone, but lets break it down a bit.

    Absolute Beginners: Check! There’s no faster way to get in shape. Get yourself going on the right foot No experience is necessary. Training is appropriate and scalable for all levels of fitness.  Plus our awesome community will support and encourage you every step of the way.

    Want some extra support? You got it! Have you struggled to stay motivated in the past, to reach a weight loss goal, learn a new skill, or take part in an intimidating event (whether that’s a fun run or a multi-day adventure race)? We get it.  Changing your physical activity and mindset is one of the hardest things to do – full stop.  You don’t have to do it alone, find success working with others. We’ll be right there to lend you a hand and help keep you on the right track!

    Bored of the gym? We are too. At StrongHearts there is always something new to learn or a new challenge to face.  Combine endlessly varied (but intelligently programmed) workouts with awesome people like you and you have a recipe for fun and success. Come on out ans smash that plateau!

    Previously injured? We understand, some of us have been there, and we can help. Mastering natural movements will help alleviate and prevent chronic pain and reduce your chance of re-injury.  Don’t let the past sideline your future!
