Personal Training

Fitness assessments and the Functional Movement Screen

Your training and the results you get from it are only as good as your assessment.  We customize our programming based on your individual needs.  A core component of our assessments are the Functional Movement Screen tests. We combine these with a full fitness assessment to determine the best path and strategy to get you to optimal fitness.

The Functional Movement Screen is a series of 7 fundamental movement patterns that assess your body’s stability and mobility. The screen (FMS) helps to identify areas or movement patterns that may have dysfunction and consequently lead to a greater chance of injury. This test will identify a primary movement pattern to work on and associated corrective exercises.
