Kids & Youth Programs

StrongHearts is excited to offer a variety of programs for Kids and Youth, ages 7-15 (16+ are welcome to join our adult programs with parental permission)!

We run our programs in 3 month blocks starting September, January, and April of each year.  Our sessions have oversold in the past semesters; if you don’t see a time you want in the registration options below (at the bottom of this page) it has probably filled up.  You can email us info@strongheartsfitness.com to be put on a waiting list for these sessions.  To simplify our administration and ensure everyone who wants to get in gets in, registrations are non-refundable after the session begins.  If your child would like to try a class before registering, please email me to arrange a trial.

All of our kids programs cost $132 for the 3 month semester.  If you are registering more than 1 child we offer a discount – email me to get your discount code.

Dryland Conditioning

Some things to Expect:

  • Noticeably faster feet, allowing you to move much more quickly on the field/ice
  • Feel more explosive, allowing you to cut, sprint, and accelerate
  • Improved mobility, reducing your chance of injury and making you more efficient on the field

What You Get:
Small group training that allows more personal attention to each participant and a variety of movements that will keep you on your toes. Classes will involve drills, exercises, and techniques  that aim to build strength and make you more explosive to launch across the field. You’ll strengthen your basic movement patterns as we pay attention to sport-specific exercises and movements, and have you dominate your fitness testing. This training will help you win more races to the ball with your improved explosiveness and have your speed last throughout the whole game.

Prevent Injuries for the Upcoming Season!
Knees, groins, shoulder, and backs take a beating in sport, so it’s best to strengthen-up year round… you’ll get stronger ligaments, tendons and muscle fibers.

Fridays at 1600-1700,

For 12 weeks starting  September 15 until December 1st inclusive.

Parkour

parkour_girlThis is a perfect, youth focused, introduction to Parkour. Designed for those who have never done Parkour up to intermediate practitioners. Parkour is about learning skills while getting a fantastic workout.

What is Parkour?

To parkour is to be able to control your body and mind into one, so that you can find a path quickly, and move your body in a way that the path can be followed into the next path you’re given. If you’re running towards an obstacle and start to slow down in order to maneuver around it, most likely you need to practice more.

Kids ages 7-10 Wednesday and/or Fridays at 1500-1600

Kids ages 11-15 Mondays 1600-1700 and/or Thursdays 1600 – 1700

For 12 weeks starting the week of September 11th until the 4th of December. You can register for 1 or both of the offered sessions each week.
